What is an Athletic Trainer?

A Certified Athletic Trainer is a licensed healthcare professional who renders services or treatments, under the direction or in collaboration with a physician. Services provided by AT's include injury and illness prevention, wellness promotion and education, emergent care, examination and clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.
